Public Access 5 is dedicated to breaking down technical, physical and psychological barriers so local residents, nonprofits, governments and businesses can express their ideas to the community via television. Our goal is to accurately reflect, promote and strengthen the values of the community we serve.

We are a nonprofit public, educational and governmental (P.E.G.) access station.
The original incarnation of the station went on the air in August 1983 as Channel 23 and was incorporated in November 1985. The station jumped down the dial to channel 5 when cable came to the area and now offers service from East Vail to Wolcott and Dowd Junction to Minturn. The station adopted a new name in November 2007 and is now called Public Access 5.
